            220th Birthday    WITH US!

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary was established by Congress in 1939 to assist the Coast Guard in promoting boating safety. It boasts more than 35,000 members from all walks of life who receive special training so that they may be a functional part of Coast Guard Forces. Auxiliarists assist the Coast Guard in non-law enforcement programs such as public education, vessel safety checks, safety patrols, search and rescue, maritime security, and environmental protection and Coast Guard Academy introduction programs for youth. Auxiliarists volunteer more than 2 million hours annually to benefit other boaters and their families.

Auxiliary members receive special training so that they may be an important, functional part of Team Coast Guard (active duty, reserves, and Auxiliary). Being an Auxiliarist will add a new dimension to your boating activities and enable you to share in the worthwhile experience of assisting boaters and saving lives. Auxiliary activities and this web site are dedicated to the safety of the commercial and recreational boating public.

Each member of Division 7 provides skills that are as widely varied as their geographic location. Backgrounds include finance, manufacturing,  fire fighting, professional, teaching, administration, marketing, and many more. Although the specific talents may not necessarily apply directly to every one of our Coast Guard Auxiliary activities, the diversity sure makes our get-togethers interesting and fun!

To serve our customers (our members, the Coast Guard, the boating public) in a supportive inspiring, educational, and professional manner. We will support Team Coast Guard in the best and most effective manner that we are capable of doing.  We will inspire and assist our members in reaching the maximum level of training and leadership that they can attain.  We will educate our members and the boating public on safe boating practices to the maximum of our abilities.  We will be professional in everything that we do, and abide by the governing policies established by the Commandant of the United States Coast Guard, always reflecting the Coast Guard core values of Honor, Respect, and devotion to Duty.

The Coast Guard Auxiliary is the volunteer, civilian component of the United States Coast Guard.  It operates through an independent, non-profit organization, providing millions of hours of mission assistance to the Coast Guard annually. While the Coast Guard provides some training materials, the Coast Guard Auxiliary is funded primarily from member's dues and charitable contributions. The Coast Guard Auxiliary is a tax-exempt organization, making contributions deductible for income tax purposes. For more information, please contact us. Your interest and generous support of our organization helps save lives and is greatly appreciated.
